Icarus Rapide

Featured Replies

Hi folks.

Does anyone have an opinion on the Icarus Dragon Rapide? Looks a cool little (no doubt under powered and slow) plane. Not after deep 'systems' or anything, just a nice, believable model.

Cheers

I have it and tbh. I thought the freeware version was better. Something about the Icarus version wasn't quite right.

Freeware - even better, thanks.

Hi Dave! Just remembered I forgot to mention your Beaufighter - an aircraft that I was never really interested in until I built the Tamiya 1/48 kit a couple of years back and kind of fell in love with its pugnacious features. Your Beau is great, especially good fun to skim across the treetops and rooftops with!

Read this post tonight, and decided to try Dave's Dragon Rapide. Wow. I watched some real YouTube flight's of this plane, and Dave's is right on the money. A beautiful plane, and very, very realistic in my opinion. It flies extremely well, and when I first saw the cockpit, I thought it was strange. Then when I checked out the real videos of it, they looked just like Dave's. My compliments on this historic plane, and I look forward to many enjoyable hours with her. Thank you. Stan

If you decide to try my Rapide, make sure you get the latest version (V4) from CBFS

Thanks for the tips, all - downloading and installing it from work (through the magic of VNC) as I type. I'll have to take a flight tonight!
