I can't lock the parking brake of my PMDG MD-11.

Il isn't possible in the modus Cold & Dark and with the engine on as well.

I already uninstalled and installed the MD-11 but it won't help.

Can you help me please.

That is a Little weird ,

 

I dont think this has any thing to do with installing and uninstalling , when you load up FSX what aircraft do you have Loading up First ?? is it the Default one ? if not resting this will help second when you are don with your flight do you just Quit FSX and exit without Shutdown engines of MD-11 ?

 

and if i am not mistaking there is an option in the PMDG options to set Parking brake to the default FSX key-command witch is CTRL + [>] sign ( Period key )

I don't want to hijack this thread but something I can't figure out. From the VC when I press the click spot on the parking break lever to engage the parking break, the click spot then disappears so that I have to use the keyboard combination to disengage the parking break. Is that normal?

Yes I guess that is supposed to be so. The reason for that is that you release the parking brakes by fully pressing the brake peadals and not by pushing the lever back forward.

Try different planes if you have them.  The 737NGX, the 747 and the LD767.

 

I too lost all ability recently to set the parking brakes.  I have the latest FSUIPC and Saitek pedals.  Toe brakes work great.  When I set the brakes, the immediately get unset.

That was done deliberately indeed. On the real aircraft you can not use the parking brake lever to release the brakes.
