In case you didn't get this one when it was inadvertently posted as a permanent cache a while back, now's your chance. This is a pretty good one and a fairly long flight.

Interesting side note: The leaders in this 2013 race from Anchorage to Nome, just pulled in to this checkpoint last night. Lance Macky, a 4 time winner, was the first team in. The other 65 dog teams are strung out from here, all the way back to Nikolai.

That's cool about Lance Macky. If I'm not mistaken, he is the fellow that had some dogs flown in by ERA air a couple of years ago. That segment appeared on Flying Wild Alaska.

I didn't have this one, so I took the Mustang out for the ride, a very low ride!

Do all of these Iditarod caches eventually become permanent?

Having just started doing these not long ago, I noticed I was able to go through my list offered and get several of these - I missed this one due to my travels, which is something that will continue so I will miss several I am sure.

The best I can remember, all the Iditarod caches will become permanent so if you miss one, you should be able to collect within the next week I think.

Good to hear, I thought that might be the case.
