Screen shots on Fly Tampa site.

Featured Replies

I was just on FT's website checking to see if they've finished Toronto.

Anyways, I started looking at the other airports and noticed that their screen shots look very realistic.

Anybody know if the pics are altered/enhanced?  Is it ENB?  I'd love to have my FSX look like that.

I cannot guarantee these pics are "raw data".

What I can confirm is that the pics' atmosphere has been recreated in my FSX a number of times. That's especially true for

- St. Maarten

- Boston Logan

- Kai Tak

- Athens and

- Dubai

The official promotional images are probably altered slightly, but FlyTampa implements color contrast in its products very well—enough contrast to achieve that "professional" look without causing over-saturation. Indeed, even old products such as FlyTampa Hong Kong still look relatively new due to FlyTampa's balanced and consistent use of pre-packaged color enhancement.

Thanks a lot for the help guys.

Level_7,

Thanks for sharing the link.  I had no idea it was posted there.  I will download the ENB settings.  I can't wait.

Olli,

I was able to re-create the atmosphere as well but only by lowering the visibility.  Other than that, it didn't look as good.  I will be using the FT ENB settings that Level_7 posted and see how it turns out.

Menduco,

Nice to see another Torontonian here :-).  I'm very excited about it.  I really hope it's CYYZ because I fly airliners 99% of the time and a lot of my flights usually start there.  I live less than 10 mins away from CYYZ :-).

Omni,

I do have Sweet FX but haven't tried it on FSX yet.  I've been using it on FS9.  I'll play around with it on FSX.

Zowen,

I agree.  I get very immersed when using their products.  Their color balance and everything is excellent, even without ENB.  The only thing with Kai Tak that shows its age to me would be the FS9 style ground textures.  But it doesn't bother me one bit because there are so many high quality buildings everywhere.  And nobody actually looks at the ground when coming in for one of the most intense landing on RW 13.

Thanks again everyone.

I don't remember the install options exactly anymore, but: There are two texture sets to choose from, at least for the runway itself. They depend on the DirectX10-setting you prefer.
