March 21, 201313 yr I was just itching for a chance to take my Black-Ops Mustang out for a Clandestine Job. I figured if the RV showed up, I could easily outrace him (Beat the heat... get it? No? Oh, well, I tried.) So, I set the time to night and went looking - finally I found some clandestine action at Neknak. Great, chose it and went to the Hangar and guess what? All the airplanes are blocked except for the Maule and the Cub. Too bad, too bad. No way to take the Mustang out for a Clandestine Job. O.K. then, here is the Cub on a Black-Ops job flying really low over trees: And flying really low over the wasted tundra: Scary! And flying really, really close to the tree tops: Finally, I made it to my destination, Egegik. Thank goodness it is lit. But, no, wrong airport, I was supposed to land at Egegik - Bartletts down the road a bit. So, back up, went around, and landed at the right place. Lucky for me nobody caught me. Unlucky for me Bartletts has no lights at all! I have to say that Flight is the most fun I have ever had in any version of FS so far. It is a blast flying low over the ground at night, extremely enjoyable flight. Best regards. Luis Hot, humid Caribbean paradise!
March 21, 201313 yr FAD_Negrito_zps27683c32.jpg As soon as someone works out how to put VCs in the warbirds I'm buying the Mustang. More for that paint than the VC to be honest... i910900k, RTX 3090, 32GB DDR4 RAM, AW3423DW, Ruddy girt big mug of Yorkshire Tea
March 21, 201313 yr As soon as someone works out how to put VCs in the warbirds I'm buying the Mustang. More for that paint than the VC to be honest... If we can figure out how to create gauges, and set the default camera angle (in a configuration file for the mustang, instead of the camera.cfg for all of Flight), we may be able to add a cockpit. But first, we will need to find a way to add the gauges. Otherwise, creating those gauges will prove pointless. March 21, 201313 yr I had started a special addon that moved the nose cam view into the cockpit of the Basic aircraft, but still used the external model (so no gauges). Maybe I should finish that up... P.S. Love the mustang livery Luis!
March 21, 201313 yr I would love if you finished that! And maybe the C46 as well. It's so hard to handle it for me from the outside. Alex Leung Aerospace Engineering Undergraduate Glider & Private Pilot via Royal Canadian Air Cadets
March 21, 201313 yr I would love if you finished that! And maybe the C46 as well. It's so hard to handle it for me from the outside. You can move the nosecam view back into the cockpit yourself ( does not work with Track IR however, as the Track IR resets it). Before they added Track IR support, I had moved the viewpoint of the P-51 back into the cockpit area, saved it as a custom flight, then whenever I wanted to fly the P51 I would have it available to me with the viewpoint where I wanted it, to simulate being in a cockpit. Just have to be careful not to hit the eyepoint reset button ( if assigned to joystick)... especially as it takes a little time to get the eyepoint back there as it moves very slowly. Don B
March 21, 201313 yr I get the feeling Luis is about to create a black Cub! Blue skies & tailwinds, -Alan
