Event at Yavin IV - An Inside Job?

Featured Replies

After decades of reviewing the video of the Destruction of the Death Star...

And having been presented with the below video discussing many "suspicious" events and connections...

I am nigh convinced the destruction of the Death Star was an inside job.

That was pretty good. I especially liked the bit about the contract for the replacement Death Star being awarded to Darth's construction company.

That was very well done! Quite amusing, actually.

I DETEST conspriacy theories!!!! I'm so sick of them! Why can't the facts presented to us all those years ago just be what happened?!

So let me guess: Somewhere, out there, is an "secret council" where all the decisions are made, right? A society of powerful individuals controlling the fate of the galaxy? Yeah right! If that were the case they'd have to get the "sheeple" to follow along.

I think what we're seeing is a bias against a third world person, who probably had been converted to fundamentilst beliefs/ideas and taught to fight the "status quo". Instead of blowing up that military installation he should have thought about the tremendous loss of life (and tax payers credits). Maybe his time would have been more well spent playing the galactic lottery and put some "force" on those numbered balls. Everyone gets lucky and that day, he and his father, got lucky.

The Empire doesn't escape blame either... They should have had a better domestic policy! Why was Luke working on the farm? Why didn't his Aunt and Uncle have credits for him to go to school? What was the unemployment rate that a seemingly bright individual was languishing away farming water... in a desert?

The real answer is there is no conspiracy or hokey religions. The terrorist organization came about due to the Empire's unwillingess to help it's own people. Luke was a tool for the "rebels" as an uneducated farm hand is easily swayed! Perhaps if he had went to the academy that semester he wouldn't have been hanging out with "undesireables" in a bar. Perhaps if the Empire spent more money on it's domestic policy they could have gotten a better installation designer...

(All of the above is J/K! Thanks for sharing the video! Great satire of the conspiracy stuff people have tried to shove down my throat over the years. I'll be sure to share it with other SW fans I know)

I've been saying exactly that since I was 6 years old and first saw the movie, it was an inside job, no one would believe me...
