March 25, 201313 yr Hello flyers, i was wondering since now i'm using Topcat for performance calculation and for what i know it isn't possible to do with the T7. so my question is very simple, how are we going to calculate the performance? i know in a real 777 they have the EFB to do so, but from what i understand it's not going to be included (in the first release at least). thanks for the helpers! cheerio Daniel choen
March 25, 201313 yr Commercial Member I am sure The TOPCAT developers will try to find the time to get something together. As far as I am aware PMDG has always used balanced field V speeds in there FMC's, what we need is the optimised V speeds, so we definitely need charts or software like TOPCAT for obstacle limits etc etc.. March 25, 201313 yr +1 ..... for take-off & LANDING !! but it seems TOPCAT is behind the pace when it comes to "new / recent" PMDG aircraft. we'll need to use an FPPM if we could !! for now, cheers john martin

March 25, 201313 yr Commercial Member Thanks for the link, looks perfect for the 777, have wanted a dedicated performance calculator for my iPad for quite a while. Rob Prest
March 25, 201313 yr Thanks for the link, looks perfect for the 777. Looks brilliant doesn't it! I wonder what data they're using though? - Luke Pabari
March 26, 201313 yr Looks brilliant doesn't it! I wonder what data they're using though? What do you mean by data? We'll be supporting Q400 and 777 at the beginning - offering real values. PMDG & MAJESTIC SOFTWARE BETA CPL (A) + ME/IR Aleksi Lindén
March 26, 201313 yr Commercial Member By real values do you mean obstacle limits or just balanced field v speeds? Rob Prest
March 27, 201313 yr Rob, Balanced field v-speeds, as we do not have data for obstacles I'm afraid. Regards PMDG & MAJESTIC SOFTWARE BETA CPL (A) + ME/IR Aleksi Lindén
March 28, 201313 yr Aleksi you do have the data to do the unbalanced field... I should know... also climb limits. --Peter Fabian
