BBS Airbus Extreme Prologue V0.70 released

Featured Replies

Hi Peter,

First of all, before you install 0.7, did you uninstall and delete the old 0.6. I think it really does help to avoid unexpected issues.

I am not using the toe brake so cannot comment on it. I remembered they solved it in 0.61, but somehow it got back with 0.7 as you reported. I think some other users already reported on the facebook, and given they solved it before, I think they may take care of it no problem :).

I have no "spoiler arm" message issue as you reported in 0.7 (I did have that in v0.61 only). And I have no issue whatsoever with the zoom on the ND. I think it may help to solve these by completely remove 0.6 (uninstall and delete the folders) before 0.7. Hope it helps. I am planning to spend my weekend to digging up the real world manual and compare to BBS to see how "close" BBS is in terms of system implementation.

The small video I just recorded with BBS A320 v0.7 to demonstrate its revamped managed descend mode, which I think works pretty darn nicely. Sorry for the not very HD quality as I want to keep the file size small :). I got tailwind so at some point I extended the speedbrake a bit but I think it is normal procedure then...

I think that the major updates they released are really major (ok, at least v0.6 and v0.7 as I bought from version 0.6 and read may other customers said that it was a high leap from v0.5) in good better way. Ok, it is techincally a paid beta and needs to add a lot of items and some tweak here and there but what they have now is really good and I think well worth the money.

As your video proves, managed descend works really nicely! One of the main improvements of v 0.7.The problems with the poor roll rate and the fix for the APU have been addressed by a small patch which I'll download and install tonight. I hope the A330 won't take too long anymore! ;-)

Where's the APU fix? I don't remember downloading that...

I do not own the BBS but the AXE. As long as BBS has not simulated systems I want to have simulated (IRS for example) I won't buy it because you won't know if they plan to implement this. For now my opinion is you buy a in progress product for full price, be a beta tester and after the release they will release a professional version with some more features and I have to buy it a second time. As a former pss customer it is a no go for me. So I'll wait for release of all versions of BBS and compare. But that's my personal choice. But my opinion can also be the worse experiencing of captain sim's 777 (thanks to god paypal gave refund). Also I'm waiting for fsl a320 which should top all other airbuses (at least what I am reading about in their forums).

I'll not hijacking BBS, but I had bad experiences with pss and if you are unhappy with a person/company you won't fail a second time. ;-)

As far as I am aware the axe does not simulate the IRS system, all it does is show visuals during the align.

amazing graphics.......and after 6 month and several promises, the ND is still very buggy (see pictures below)....  when you can't do the basics, how can we expect more ?   can't wait for fslabs !

too much, too soon....

Thanks Pao for pointing those out. For the ND I believe they said that they are going to revamp the whole thing with his file format ARINC something (which implemented for recent ECAM pages). But at least for me it has no effect at all on how the plane flies (the AP follow the plan quite well).

Agree with you on the look, BBS is not yet at the level of AXE in terms of external/VC modelling . But with every updates I see some improvements (for this version 0.7 especially to me the night cokcpit is really improved).

You want some other bugs? Here: the Oil PSI for A320 IAE stops at 40 (red). No problem for the CFM engine. The handling, especially turn is a bit heavy (not sure a bug or just my personal preference). How about improvement, you dont notice at all? What a pity. How about the managed descend? How about majority (of course not all, as they told will come in next updates) of system with ECAM pages etc which works as it should etc... It totally flyable, behaves what we expect in general, no CTD and light on FPS etc...  Relax, they are delivering well you know...

Oh btw, happy waiting FSLab, I also look forward to their release at well, as they have good reputation. But I also enjoy the BBS Bus a lot. :).

Some pics of BBS v.07 apart from Pao's :D.

Large VC shots always look good....  the thing is don't pilot from the jump seat....  BTW, are you part of BBS ?

too much, too soon....

Pao, with all respect sir, I politely shared with you why I enjoyed BBS Bus despite it still has some bugs and a lot of things/features to add in in the future and now you accused me of "a part of BBS"?

I am not related to BBS in anyway except I am a customer from version 0.6. Why I actively give good comment (and I never said that it has no bugs or it looks way better than AXE or something) on BBS Bus, because I think the Bus deserves it. The other reason is that I see many people give all kind of assumption, misleading about the BBS Bus and I just hate those kind of cheap/unfair move (and again because I believe the BBS Bus deserves better than that). And please I have a proper job that pays me well, I dont need to do such cheap thing to earn a living you know.

And now you jump in and wrongly accuse me like that, Gentleman. So sad. Happy waiting for whatever you like in life but please dont hijack this post :).

LoL Pao, whatever you say, whatever you say :). Then why dont you just shut up instead of accusing me like that and let people make their own judgement :). Feel sorry for you :).

Ok, I will stop arguing with you Pao, cos I know it is going no where. Didnt I just say that I agree with all the artifacts, bugs whatever you call it? And did I say that BBS Bus looks better than AXE? I wish I can have the AXE model quality for my BBS Bus right now indeed. But man, because you already posted what you and I dont like about BBS Bus, I just post what I like about it, why should I have to repeat what you already posted? The second picture I fly the Airbus from my captain seat right?

And dont need to post your picture twice, people can see you, unless you want to hijack this post.

And now this topic is now being monitored... hahaha, always, good job! congrat, you made it lol...

*******, grow up...
