March 28, 201313 yr I can wait for 6 months after all variants being released because i need to do some part time talent in advertisments and i'm planning to get a $300-400 laptop Angelo Reyes Please call me silly for even assuming you might be thinking of running FSX with complex addons on $300-400 laptop. Surely that was just a side comment. I am running FSX with complex addons on such a laptop and it runs just fine. Not everybody needs 60FPS on maxed out sliders. --Peter Fabian

March 28, 201313 yr I am running FSX with complex addons on such a laptop and it runs just fine. Not everybody needs 60FPS on maxed out sliders. That sounds great. I would be interested in an inexpensive laptop that would run FSX when away from main computer. I don't need 60 fps. 12-15 is just fine if its smooth. Can you suggest a couple configs? If you're still living in 2008 then no you wouldn't be able to do so. LOL... I suppose my flippant post rated such a response. March 28, 201313 yr Plenty of AMD+Radeon-equipped laptops in there. While I think that Intel+nVidia combination is better for built-for-FSX computers, these laptopt will make it run. --Peter Fabian

Thanks...I'll check some out on Newegg. Sorry for the derail. March 28, 201313 yr Thanks...I'll check some out on Newegg. Sorry for the derail. Intel integrated graphics on the iX chipsets are surprisingly good, from what I remember a core i3 with integrated graphics can run FSX at 10-15fps. Dev Singh
March 28, 201313 yr If you're still living in 2008 then no you wouldn't be able to do so. Laptops are slowly getting there - I use one and get 20/25 FPS in the VC without a scenery, however with one it kills me down to 15. But that's still useable! That's with AS2012 too - global scenery textures are to the fullest also, just so I can get the best textures. To compensate I pretty much have most sliders down - I decided I'd rather have best textures in my aircraft and airport than a lot of same shaped 3-D buildings on the outside that aren't relevant to flying lol. I ran fine with sliders mid-point using my laptops monitor, however I bought a 1920x1080 monitor so I had to do a little more compremising. My next upgrade I'd definitely look into another ASUS laptop, their portability is a winner for me too. - Luke Pabari
