April 20, 201313 yr After many requests I have finally finished my ConcordeX Fuel Panel video. I have done my best to get this procedurally correct following various documents and the ITVV Concorde video. If you ever wanted to understand and work this panel properly yourself (no VFE) then this video will show you everything you need to know. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8MElGXERJIw Mark CYYZ
April 20, 201313 yr Good job, I cannot watch it right now (it's great weather, going to make some cross country irl), so I'll comment later today. Lj. Prodanovic
April 21, 201313 yr Watched the video, it's matching my procedures and procedures we have seen at ITVV video. Scenarios are very nice touch, and the only thing it could be added is other few schematics that explain positions of pumps and inlets, we can see in concorde manual. April 22, 201313 yr Author Thanks. I tried to keep it to an hour and still went over. I think this gives people enough to get started and they can read the manual or prune forums etc. if further information is required. Mark CYYZ
April 22, 201313 yr I noted time codes for all chapters and significant moments of flight, so you can add it in description in order to provide quick navigation for someone who want to take a peek during the flight to recall procedure: Part 2 - Normal Flight - EGLL-KJFK Speedbird 00121:24 Chapter1: Cold and dark - panel initiation26:38 Chapter2: Taxi checklist30:53 Chapter3: M 0.7 climb checklist32:07 Chapter3.1 Subsonic cruise33:04 Chapter3.2 Transonic checklist34:05 Chapter3.3 Tank 11 full34:27 Chapter3.4 Mach 1.7 checklist35:14 Chapter4 Wingtip tanks and Aft trim37:49 Chapter4.1 Wingtip tanks empty39:31 Chapter5 Balance fuel and CG Adjustment42:04 Chapter5.1 CG Adjustment44:12 Chapter5.2 Tanks 6 and 8 = 4000kg45:48 Chapter5.3 Tanks 6 and 8 empty46:59 Chapter6 Decel/Descent50:32 Chapter6.1 Mach 1.052:14 Chapter6.2 Landing52:55 Chapter7 After landing checklist55:31 Chapter8 Shut downPart 3 - Special Situations and Recovery from Fuel Panel Mistakes.57:31 Chapter1 Barbados loadout1:00:36 Chapter2 Takeo-off CG too high1:03:53 Chapter3 Engine starve out in cruise1:07:59 Chapter4 Overweight for landing1:12:42 Chapter5 Low fuel1:14:54 Chapter6 Restart from saved flight1:16:44 Credits & final comment Lj. April 22, 201313 yr Author Thanks, I was too lazy to do that but I have added this list to the video comments. No links yet but I might add that later. Mark CYYZ
April 22, 201313 yr Links are working just fine! Lj. Prodanovic
April 22, 201313 yr Author Fantastic, I did not know you could do it in that format, I was using a different way....great its working, thanks for the help. Mark CYYZ
April 23, 201313 yr Outstanding! Job Mark. Very informative. Helped me a on a few issues. Thanks for taking the time to create this project. I have the Flight deck Prodcutions video...very well done. Except they didn't go in depth in a tutorial like scenario. I'm glad you mentioned CconcordePerformanceSystem (CPS) what a great product to enhance the enjoyment of Concorde. With Pierre's new computation in the program, it's a little more difficult to plan shorter type flights. IE PHOG(Maui) to KLAX. Thanks again for an outatanding presentation! Best, David
April 23, 201313 yr Author Thanks for the comments David. Just a bit confused by your comment on the CPS. Are you saying that it does not do a good job on short flights now? I would like to know as I was thinking of doing one of the round the world multi leg flights which has a number of very short segments like Aukland to Sydney, etc. Mark CYYZ
April 23, 201313 yr I appreciate your time, and effort to make this video. I was one of the sequesters. I just saw the thread.. You will have feed back as soon as I watch it. Many Thanks !!!!! Sam. Waiting for the 64-bit PSION Flightsim for ZX-Spectrum ////
April 23, 201313 yr Hi Mark. Sorry, for the confusion. With the refinements of CPS, it's a lot more difficult(ie realistic) to just load and go. When I first setup my PHOG-KLAX flights..I like this one as it's fairly shaort and fun...or visa versa. At anyrate, before with older versions, I could take my reqd. fuel load 100 pax and crew and baggage. Now, due to WX conditions, short runways etc....I have had to reduce my pax count to around 75 to be legal for takeoff. Planning is a lot more precise now. have fun with CPS, it's a great tool. Best, David
