Major scenry problem

Featured Replies

When a regular flight is started, I see yellow translucent vertical posts with letters near the top scattered  randomly at and away from the airport. These are the things you see when in training or on missions. There are two things that where done during the time this problem  was noticed. I downloaded demos from the fsdream  team  and the payware Traffic 360. I know I didn't see this right after the Traffic 360 was downloaded, not sure about the fs dream team because I was focused on the planes and the ground crew around the plane. I tried various airports from default to Orbx, all the same. Any ideas would be helpful.

I doubt it is FSDT as just the airport buildings disappear after 10 minutes.  Nothing in the sky.  Could be Traffic 360 but don't own it.  Can you somehow disable Traffic 360 in the Scenery Library and see if this fixes the problem?

Best regards,

Jim

The boxes were unchecked in the FS Library, but the Traffic 360 was still visible. I really don't want to delete Traffic 360 unless I have to. I would uninstall FS Dream Team before that. When this problem first occured , I used O&O Defrag., it locked up around 72% so I ended it. It was run a few minutes ago to 100%, but the problem is still in the game.

I checked the Uninstall and change programs and didn't see anything that says SP 1, even though I installed the accelerator disc, but remember not requiring the key numbers the second time around.

I'm still  getting the yellow translucent  vertical  structures no matter where I fly. It's like flying in a mission or training session. Should I uninstall FSX ?

Definitely don't uninstall FSX. See the other thread you started about this.

Are these markers located at airports?

I seem to remember hearing about a tweak or an addon that would show you where nearby airports are.

I would search your FSX.cfg for "show", without the quotation marks and see if anything comes up.

I found they are a visual flight path. I messed with that little box, even checked my FSX Files, but couldn't locate anything that said that.

These are seen around all airports and everywhere in between.

I'm not in front of my personal PC that houses FSX right now but in the menu options, Realism I believe, there is an option for Show Visual Flight Path. You have verified that?

I uninstalled the FS DREAM TEAM, and  those vertical things vanished. AND I was able to correct the swirling scenery. The sim is working like a charm, at least for today, lol I think I'll do some flying now. HAPPY DAYS ARE HERE AGAIN!   Thanks guys for your help.
