Saitek throttle problem with majestic q400

Featured Replies

Ok fellas I think we are going about this wrong. After inspecting what is going on when calibrations are entered, they are written to an ini file in the airplane folder. 3 times. When I looked and logged the numbers they are definatly different. SO I am making another attempt at this. I don't like to be beat by anything and I will post the results here. I have a couple of more days on vacation and I intend to have this problem solved when I head back out on the job. Results to follow. Cpt out.

I said I would follow up so here is what I found. Disable pause on task switch in fsx and presto you can now see the throttles working in the set up calibration tool. Finally after this bothering me for so long. Old guys are determined individuals I guess. Many Many frustrating hours pondering this made me think, " THis is simple!" Give it a go and you will see it works. Cpt out.

Hi all.

If you use the Saitek throttles, you can use this LUA script for reverse:

http://forum.simflight.com/topic/69388-throttle-manager-to-allow-axis-forwardreverse-toggle/

It makes use of the button at the end of the throttle range. Once you "press" it by moving the lever all the way back, you hear a sound and then this axis acts as reverse axis.
One more "press" and you will go back to normal. Normal = DISC/Flight Idle/ Normal thrust / Max thrust - reverse is separated out.

A bit of a hassle to set up, but once you did it, its perfect. I never get into reverse if I not really want to.

Sorry, does this work for an x65 throttle?  And what fix exactly are you referring to in this thread?  Thanks.
