Lionheart's Epic LT might also be worth a look (?)

With my tired old eyes I've never had much luck scanning a glass cockpit in FSX so the Lionheart, although it looks great, is a non-starter..  I don't know if I could adapt in real life.  I'm sticking w/ steam gauges for FSX.

I've got the Warbird Sim "Little Friends" P-51 in the livery of Hess Bomberger's Vergeltungswaffe, and it is quite a lot to manage on take-off.  I've been reading the USAF dash one from the Korean War and also the AOPA magazine article on flying Crazy Horse for tips on taming the Mustang.  I flew w/ Hess for my 40th birthday but it was a single control bird.

You would also consider the Iris PC-21. While its not technically a civi plane, its single-engine, its a turbo-prop, it has nice textures, and its quite speedy.

 

 

The Carenado TBM will be out soon. Not sure if the G1000 will be any good but at least it will be pretty.
