April 28, 201313 yr Are you able to enter multiple waypoint altitude restrictions for VNAV to follow? I am asking because I have just completed the detailed tutorial and was able to get the first descent to 19000 to work with VNAV but when I entered the second crossing at SHAFF - 7000 ft, the VNAV did not seem to follow it. The aircraft leveled off at 19000 and stayed there even though I reset the ALT to 7000 and pressed VNAV when the second TOD was reached. I ended up just manually descending. Mark CYYZ
April 29, 201313 yr You will need to go back to the vnav page enter the new restriction for the schaff waypoint just like you did for the previous one.

A tod symbol will appear about 15 miles ahead of your position then when the profile appears on off hit vnav. Sean Green
April 29, 201313 yr Author Thanks, I was re-reading that section of the tutorial yesterday and realized I missed a step of entering the restriction in the FPL page first before entering it on the VNAV page. Mark CYYZ

So you can only enter the second restriction after passing the first? I tried again and when I entered the second restriction at 7000ft the VNAV modified the descent profile to meet the second restriction while ignoring the first. Mark CYYZ
May 1, 201313 yr Quote So you can only enter the second restriction after passing the first? Correct, or more correctly you can only activate one descent leg at a time. VNAV is quite rudimentary in a Dash 8. Cheers, Andy.
