May 11, 201313 yr This has been going on for a few weeks, I just haven't had the time to get around to it and it sounds like using Advanced System Care is what caused this issue to begin with. I load FSX and get a pop-up that Area 115 has not been found. I click okay and everything continues as it normally would. How can I get rid of this issue? Has anyone else dealt with this before? Chase Barnett
May 11, 201313 yr Have you made any changes to your scenery.cfg or have you (re)moved some scenery from the location where FSX expects it to be? Try if refreshing the scenery library helps. Florian

May 11, 201313 yr Author I'm just going to do a spring cleaning of FSX. Uninstalling all add-ons and the sim and reinstalling only what I need. I've accumulated a lot of junk over the last month. This seems to be about the best way to fix any damage that's been done. Chase Barnett
May 11, 201313 yr Hi Chase; Just install Scenery Config Editor: it will find and fix any issues with your scenery.cfg files, as well as giving you a great management tool for adding new scenery's and a good understanding of FSX's scenery structure. Here is also a world map giving details of the numbering system. Hope you get it resolved quickly! I would of tried it, but I'm already reinstalling FSX. Do you use ORBX? Negative sir. Chase Barnett
May 11, 201313 yr I have had this issue before when not using the correct procedure for installing scenery when using orbx. But the tool suggested above looks great, i shall check that out myself. Simon Roberts
May 11, 201313 yr This looked familiar so I searched my electronic "Tweaks and Notes" file. Here's what I found: "Scenery error 115 Reno fix: PFE or something deleted the FSX\Addon Scenery\Scenery folder. Add it back and problem goes away." This is/was an empty \Scenery folder at the location above. This must have happened after I installed PFE or something similar. Hope this helps lead you to the problem.

I also had that "area 115" problem, but when I added a scenery map in Addon Scenery, the problem was gone!!! Thank You so much Sir for the this useful/helpful tip!!! Best Regards Per
May 11, 201313 yr I'm glad that did it for you. I will make a note in my file that it is a real fix. Some of my hints are guesses until verified. This one is verified now. I have never figured out what program did it but I suspected PFE at the time. It has not happened to me since though. My scenery folder has lots of stuff in in now, from addons from days gone by. I think things would be really bad if something deleted the folder now. Backups are your friend for times like that...
May 11, 201313 yr Yes, I get that pop up every time I open FSX , along with about five other scenry pop ups. I will follow this post with lots of interest.
May 12, 201313 yr Jetsmell, As a rule, I always have a scenery and a texture folder in each subfolder under FSX\Addon scenery\ whether there is anything in it or not. Check all your subfolders and try adding them if missing, to see if your popups go away.
