I'm Dyslexic, what's an error to you is not to me

It's sometimes considered a mystery why only about 5% of airline pilots worldwide are female (about the same for the military) but it really shouldn't be.

Stepping past the obvious social and cultural boundaries (traditionally male role, for instance) on top of all the financial and time and other issues must be a fairly lonely experiance with so few other women for support, and the women who do press on must really really (really) want it.

We are all connected..... To each other, biologically...... To the Earth, chemically...... To the rest of the Universe atomically.

That and the fact that many women may simply not want to become pilots or are interested in aviation to start with.   It is all personal, I am interested or I am not.

Kind regards

Of course, to a degree that's societal as well, as boys and girls are encouraged in any number of subtle and unsubtle ways into accepted and expected roles.

I see it along the same line as female truck drivers, or construction workers.......
