Extending length of GSX's boarding sounds?

Featured Replies

Ooh, after trying out your Airbus extended voice pack, I can't wait to have your GSX edited files!

Patiently (sorta) waiting.

I've only just tried the AXE voices - what's with the robotic pushback voice? The crew voices aren't exactly going to win any awards for authenticity either. It's an odd one as the AXE is very well sorted in many respects now. When you think the LDS 767 gave us pretty authentic crew voices with different accents in 2005 you'd think that a 2013 add-on from Europe's biggest FS publisher could do a bit better.

I also replaced the boarding sound in GSX with my own one from a YouTube clip.

The pushback sounds are harder to replace and the included original voice sounds so unrealistic (the voices are not real) so I don't even want to use the pushback in GSX but instead use AES for pushback.

Might also add that I renamed/removed the separate Hello files and decided not to use them at all since GSX uses the general boarding sound file both for boarding and deboarding and felt it would be strange to hear 'Hello' messages when the passengers are deboarding if you include those Hello messages in the general boarding/deboarding sound file.

Awesome outlook for Virtuali. I am a customer for life from one simple post. This is what our hobby is about. Fellowship, friendship, and sharing. No mater what country we are from we all seem to find common ground here. The love of flying brings us closer together with a common bond and true desire to make this sim and hobby better. Thanks guys. Cpt out.

Best Regards,

Don't ask me why but I was under the impression that you couldn't replace the pushback sounds but now I noticed they are normal wav files so downloaded Bob Scott's replacement files and they are great so thanks again!
