there is also the Carenado Archer 2 and Dakota as well as the Australian Simulation Warrior 2 and 3, and Dreamfleet will be doing a Dakota and updating their Archer. I have no experience of the Aus Sim Warriors or the Carenado Archer but i do own the Dream fleet Archer and Carenado Dakota and IMHO the Dakota is the better one, I can not coment of flight models because i have never flown either, but other than the Archers's 2D interior the Dakota has better visuals both outside and in the VC and has adjustable prop and more power than the archer. niether planes have all the FS9 bells and whistles both being FS2002 updates but the carenado plane has VC controls that can be "grabbed".

Dreamfleet's Archer II is one of my favorite planes. It is very immersive, and the VC invites constant use. I use it a lot, alternating with the Cardinal FG, for shorter XC's. There is also a Bandit upgrade for the Archer II(for free) that adds horsepower and fuel tanks, along with a beefed up airframe and smoke. I use the Bandit for trips where I need some speed, and for aerobatics. You have to adjust the payload and the fuel load for the different activities, or you die sooner than you thought you would. A great product!

The DreamFleet Archer is the standard by which I judge all other piston GA add-ons. My opinion is that it is a must-have.

I have the Carenado Planes, as well as the Flight 1 Archer.. Both are fantastic, I think I read somewhere that there is going to be a major upgrade to the Flight 1 Archer.

There is a brand new one that is said to be very good looking from Australian simulations www.aussim.com.au. Can

IMO Dreamfleet Archer II is the best of the bunch. I use it to practice just about any real world procedure and it "feels" right. I don't agree that the Carenado really looks any better and I don't get the same enjoyment out of it. The Aussie Archer feels very weird to me. Very sensitive in pitch. It may be because I live and fly in the rockies (for real and sim) and it might not be optimised for higher altitudes. Just guessingDavid
