June 30, 201312 yr It is that time again; Spring Cleaning (okay, a little late, but hey, we get there eventually). We're going to commence pruning (read delete) of unused or underused forums. These will not be archived, but deleted. So, if one day you come into the forums and notice some absences, you will know what happened. While we are at it we may well be combining some forums as well. Jury is still out on that but if we see combinations that make sense, we'll see what we can do.

Someone *will* need some information from those forums at one point. 7950X3D + 7900 XT + 64 GB + Linux | 4800H + RTX2060 + 32 GB + Linux My add-ons from my FS9/FSX days

June 30, 201312 yr I will admit to not being forum software savvy, but I understand it to be built upon the database concept. So I am wondering if the sub-forums could be exported and then have the material (postings) converted into a PDF file format? The PDFs could then become part of the Avsim File Library, maybe in their own section? And no, I is not volunteering! My limited workings with SQL was a long, long time ago.

July 1, 201312 yr Resources are not limitless. We'll be deleting ones that have been inactive. Of course, but someone *will* need info from one of these at one point and come complaining! (And I'm not sure how extensively Google cache works.) I wasn't kidding about deleting information. Nothing worse than having a problem and the most viable and promising link on Google leads to a dead/deleted resource (and isn't cached). 7950X3D + 7900 XT + 64 GB + Linux | 4800H + RTX2060 + 32 GB + Linux My add-ons from my FS9/FSX days
