July 1, 201312 yr When I examine these two alternatives one thing stand out. The new GTX760 has a bandwidth of 256 bit compared to 192 bit for the 660 serie otherwise they seem very similar. The GTX770 is a little more expensive. This leads to my question should I spend more money to get a GTX770 ? How important ios 256 bit bandwidth over 192 bit ? BTW My current GTX650 only has 128 bit.
July 1, 201312 yr What is the price differ.? .I see in newegg there is hardly any diff in price (both are around $400)..in which case 770 is it. I would think. The 770 is similar to the 680.If you already have a 650 why are you looking to upgrade? what you looking to get with an upgrade? Manny Beta tester for SIMStarter

I think I need a better videocard in my new build since 650 is a very weak card.

I have the 670FTW and I am really happy with it. But here in the US there is not much price difference so I would go with the 770 if I were to purchase today. Almost all things are expensive in Europe. We need the savings to pay for our hip replacements..Ha Ha! Manny Beta tester for SIMStarter
July 1, 201312 yr 760 is 20-30% faster than the 660. 760 is one of the best bangs for buck at the moment.
July 2, 201312 yr I personally would go with the 760, brand preference would be EVGA if you have the option.
July 2, 201312 yr Author I personally would go with the 760, brand preference would be EVGA if you have the option. Why EVGA ? Why not MSI (the cheapest 760 I found) or Gigabyte at about the same price segment and the best of the three lowest prices according to pure numbers. Thirs cheapest would be a EVGA Would you consider 670? No. Cheapest 670 3000 SEK
July 3, 201312 yr EVGA has an impeccable customer support staff, register your card within 30 days of purchase and you will likely get a 3 year warranty that comes with 24/7 support (really good support might I add), expedited customer support so you don't wait in line on the phone but for a few minutes. Their GPU build quality is quite solid and they have a good reputation there as well. Finally I prefer EVGA because you can use your thermal paste and cooler on it (aftermarket/3rd party) and as long as the original heatsink & fans are are on the card if its defective when you ship it out, they will usually replace the card with a new one. Worth the extra money if you ask me, and there are plenty of other on here that would swear by EVGA standards.
