Opus development and customer relations

Featured Replies

I just posted in a topic about an ATC addon and their poor feedback to their customers, and I also included Opus in my post, so I thought I'd share it here as well.

The way Opus is being developed with frequent little (or bigger) updates + beta's and the quickness of their reactions on AVSim and their official forums about problems of users, I feel is an example of how it can and should be done.

As a customer I can see the progress and customer support.

Negative reviews and criticism are given easy (and if the complaints are reasonable I support this 100%) but when you are a happy camper you don't feel the urge to post about it, that's the other reason for this post.

So a well deserved compliment to the Opus-team. You are doing a great job. The support, patience + feedback to customers on issues and feature requests, and the rate of development are excellent in my opinion.

Keep it up! :)

Yes I completely agree.

I never had to ask them for support or advice directly myself. However their presence on this site and their commitment to the project must be commended

Great work Opus

Just take a look at their 'Announcements' forum thread (on their official forums) to see what I mean.

After buying it i'd never thought of checking for updates, because it worked well, no problems. But when I ran in some issues with trackIR I found that thread and was amazed about the number of updates since I had purchased Opus.

The program itself is quality and that is far most important ofcourse, but also the interaction with customers is great. Those things combined will make you never regret buying it.

I would definitely concur about the ease/quality of both support and upgrades. All my questions and fumbles have been quickly and accurately addressed.

Being able to stay with a version of OpusFSX that is working well OR to upgrade easily if a new feature looks interesting is a fantastic way to deliver software.

Never having used any other FSX weather injection program, I cannot speak about "accuracy" or comparative feature sets. However, ease of use with OpusFSX and the great support from Cheryl/Stephen seal the deal with me to stay with Opus.
