Zen and the Art of Airline Piloting (or how I use MCE and stuff)

Featured Replies

Fellow MCE-ers (and potential buyers)

I'm doing a fairly obscure series of flight-simming videos on YouTube, following my attempts to get back into the virtual cockpit after a six-month break.

In a recent video, I took my first steps back into jets with the CRJ-700.  I talk about how I aim for an immersive airline-pilot experience with simple aircraft and "model" procedures, along with appropriate add-ons.  Since MCE is a major part of that, I thought it would be of particular interest to readers of this forum, and anyone wondering what MCE could do for them.

As per AVSIM rules, I can't post a link to the video directly, but here's the link to it via the Videos forum.

Long term readers of this forum who recall my posts from last year, might be amused to note this is the first time I've reluctantly flown with a certain co-pilot since the incident over Dublin.  It's a testament to MCE's effectiveness that it can elicit such an emotional response.  I know Trav is just a voice actor recording in front of the same code that drives all the MCE co-pilots.... but I still hate that guy!

I don't know if it's just the Avsim servers being too busy, but the link seems to be broken.

Had to go to youtube to find it.

In that case, having tried to do it "by the book" I hope the AVSIM mods will forgive...
