GA AI Aircraft Packages

Featured Replies

A few years back I bought the HTAI Cessna package. It's a great way to have a fleet of Cessnas to use as replacement aircraft for the FSX Default aircraft used by the UT2 GA schedules.

Unfortunately, there isn't second package for Piper, Mooney, Cirrus, etc.  I've successful finding other packages, so my fleet of AI aircraft isn't entirely slanted towards Cessna, but it's a mish mash of quality, multi-country registrations, etc.

Considering of the new aircraft being produced I wish someone would either producing some AI aircraft packages, similar to the HTAI package, or include an AI version of their aircraft with the flyable version.  The package being my preference.

On request though.. No registration numbers, so the aircraft can be used globally without questioning why an one registered in China (for instance) is sitting at Lake In The Hill in Illinois.  :-)

Look for "Markus Brunner" in the library and download "GATraffic".

It generates fairly randomized flight plans, but it's way better than tediously setting them up manually.

Thanks.. Generating flight plans isn't an issue.  UT2 allows for replacing or adding to its inventory of aircraft and will utilize those in existing flight plans.  Vareity is what I'm hoping for.

I have the Ultimate GA stuff, but it's mostly twins, with only the occasional single.

BTW, finding AI models isn't the issue. I've got hundreds acquired for various Internet sources.

PIpers and Cessnas are fairly common, though not a lot of variety in the models..   Beech, Mooney, etc..seem to be a lot harder to find, especially in single engine varieties.

That's why I would love to see a vendor focus on some packages similar to the HTAI Cessnas..

Well just for the ORBX PNW and Australia there is a custom freeware pack of AI made just for those airports!

Making AI models is actually the easier exercise regarding airplane making. Everything is kept fairly simple, the most complicated task is creating the LOD models and the most tedious one is making all the repaints.

Hence, as there's less fame and fortune to be gained by making these models compared to, say a flyable airliner, you're most likely not going to see (payware) packages of a single airplane type. Especially when they're not Cessnas.
