July 28, 201312 yr I can finally say flying around in SE Asia actually feels like SE Asia. I'm doing an early morning flight now departing from Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam to Bangkok, Thailand and it looks absolutely amazing! July 28, 201312 yr I'll give a quick review here even though the OP has already bought it. Maybe it'll help some people. Pros: Global coverage Night lighting is amazing along with night textures that work with it and don't look like a bright blurry mess Anyplace with trees that's naturally green is just awesome. Europe, American (everywhere by the SW), Tropical climates, South America, etc. Desert areas in the ME, Sahara, etc. are excellent and the dune representation is really cool. Asia has been transformed and it's great Urban textures are great. Very sharp and the autogen annotation is done extremely well Autogen annotation and density overall is excellent. The new textures on them look good as well. The density helps make cities look decent now.The draw calls for the autogen are optimized well. Performance is great. I'm running max autogen with the same performance I was running very dense with before FTXG Cons: It can't overcome bad landclass. Some obscure place in Africa with crap landclass still isn't going to look good The American SW needs fixing. It's too green. The issue is the textures are actually the right color at the base level but they have very dense green strubs painted on them so from a distance it all blends to a green hue. Close up they look good. This is what I've observed in Phoenix and Las Vegas for example. Night lighting doesn't work in DX10 (yet, and it will be fixed in SP1)
