July 28, 201312 yr Hi Guys, First post! So I got Active Sky 2012, for my FSX Deluxe edition, SP1. The program installed fine, and it works. However, when I start FSX, it continues to say FSX Disconnected at the top, and also the weather does not load into FSX. It just shows the default Fair Weather theme. The graphics have loaded though. Is there something I need to do? Do I need to change the weather in FSX to Real World Weather or something like that? Sorry for the noob question, just got AS2012 and can't wait to test it out! Intel Core i7-6700k CPU Overclocked to 4.50GHz - 16GB RAM, Nvidia Geforce GTX980ti 6GB, Windows 10 Home 64-bit

July 28, 201312 yr Commercial Member You should install the FSX SP2. Regards, Dave Opper HiFi Support Manager
August 1, 201312 yr Author Thanks for the reply guys. As Daveo said I think it's a case of SP2 not being installed. I went back to Active Sky X and everything works fine. So is it ok to just get SP2 and install over my SP1, or should I get Acceleration? Just wondering.. August 1, 201312 yr Commercial Member If you had the RTM from the beginning and installed SP1, just install SP2 to avoid any additional headaches. Regards, Dave Opper HiFi Support Manager

August 4, 201312 yr Is simconnect necessary for this programme? I've tried to figure it out and it seems to me you need simconnect only when running AS on a different computer.
August 4, 201312 yr Is simconnect necessary for this programme? I've tried to figure it out and it seems to me you need simconnect only when running AS on a different computer. A lot of addons will use simconnect to comunicate with FSX. AS2012 will use simconnect from same PC(not only networked, this is how it works), Majestic Q400 relies 100% on simconnect for example. You need simconnect, and for best experience - you need the latest improved version, obviously Zeljko Budovic
