That's interesting, why do you suggest that Ray, I have it unticked in fsx, but is it better for some reason, to just turn the volume down on the voice slider?

 

 

It is OK to do it in FSX. But, in FS9 it causes CTDs when you unckeck it.

 

My advice was in regard to FS9 and will cause CTDs as Naif has suggested. I don't use FSX much due to having an ancient computer. :(

ah ok thanks, I wondered if it affected performance in  some way, but may as well leave it as it is then.

I love RC.I won't fly without it.The only thing I don't like is the lack of ground control.Other than that it's great.

Yes, I've now altered my use of ATC slightly, I leave the default checked and just turn the volume down slightly, so I can still hear it when I want to. Now when I land, I can use it for directions to the gate, which helps fill the gap on the ground.
