Wonder how the Zero is compared to the P-51 mustangs Depends on the altitude of the combat up high the P-51 would have destroyed the Zero down low in a turning fight the zero would have had a slight advantage as it was a very light plane. One issue is that the Zero lacked self sealing fuel tanks so one hit in the tanks and it goes down in flames by the time the P-51 was in service the zero was already a very old design so overall the 51 outclassed the zero ATP MEL,CFI,CFII,MEI.
