I've just finished watching the programme. Sheesh, at least it confirmed my long held opinion that Michael O'Leary is the world's biggest tosser!

I'm not commenting on the content of the programme, or on Ryanair's safety, but given the subject matter, it's kind of spooky that this is how it appears on my Sky+ menu:

I'm not making this up. I took a photo but I thought better of actually posting it. My wife wanted it for her Facebook page but I wouldn't let her have it. Maybe I'm being a bit paranoid, but better safe than sorry.

Hearing Mayday calls always makes my stomach churn. Fuel emergencies in particular are scary as they're the ones we come closest to all the time, that decision to divert or hold is probably one of the most stressful ones we regularly encounter, so to be put into a spot where you've less than 30 mins makes me uncomfortable even thinking about.

 

I wish they focused more on the goal at the end of how the Terms and Conditions impact safety, but maybe that's for another day.

 

One thing I hate about Ducksie is his ability to twist the truth, when he says "RPG is a front set up by other airline pilots from competing airlines" and makes it sound like sabotage, when in fact it's because the pilots at Ryanair feel too under threat to come forward and create a group that will represent them.

I liked it when O'Leary actually said, "I don't mind them petitioning about pay, or petitioning about working conditions but I'm not interested in them petitioning about safety" (or words to that effect) What a  xxxx

I have seen many documentary over the years about Ryanair and some just about Michael O’Leary and I have to say I am amazed a company which is so open about airing all its indiscretions is still able to run day to day operations yet alone one of the world’s largest airlines

 

I had another paragraph written about how O’Leary might make a good Minster for Finance or Chancellor of the Exchequer……But then I thought it through :rolleyes: 

 

Lets hope he never gets that much power
