Nothing new for those in the industry but i'm guessing could be a bit off putting for those that aren't

I think there's also that airline with the airplanes painted green, forget their name, I hear they're good...

No....Norwegian Air Shuttle are THE best (budget?) airline I have flown with! Great service, free WiFi, great quality food, superb quality service and the Boeing Sky Interior with mood lighting is just superb!

Their service is indeed great and the Wi-Fi is really handy, flew with them to OSL there last year, but I don't agree with the way they treat their staff, so won't be flying with them again in future.

Blimey, sounds like it's worth a visit to Norway just to fly with them!

Tell me more...surely they're better than RYR!?!

Why it sure is sir! Flew with them from Copenhagen Kastrup to London-Gatwick on Sunday, I was very impressed...

They've been tops in our house since our honeymoon in 2002.  On the flight home the stewardess gave us extra wine for free. "...just in case," she said. In case of what, I'm not sure, but I suspect it was to fortify us against the weather that day in Dublin. We were returning from Italy...to driving rain and cold. The wine did help a bit.

Same, contracts, shell companies, only paid per hour flown, no sick pay, no holidays, no maternity leave, no guaranteed take home pay, pay for uniform, pay for your food + water on board, pay for car parking, pay for your sim check, pay to join them etc.

I can hardly boycott Ryanair for treating their staff so poorly but then hold Norwegian to different standards, so unfortunately despite the free Wi-Fi, I'll give them a miss...

Besides, I'm getting free wifi on my planes over the course of the winter...  ^_^

Your planes? I didn't realise Aer Lingus got a new CEO!  ^_^

Its just the 330's that are getting it?

Nah, not a CEO, pilots do own in the region of 15% though... So that means I own roughly 0.03% of it... Artistic license may have been at play there.

A330s already have it but the system from Panazonic is experiencing technical difficulties, interfering with the Comm radios and all that didn't go down too well with us pilots. It's being rolled out on the A320s over the winter AFAIK during the winter maintainence program.

The program is starting now.

I also believe Norwegian considered registering there new dreamliners in Ireland to avoid Norwegian employment laws regarding hiring Asian cabin crews. Seems very underhand

But must admit I will probably have to use them soon.
