August 22, 201312 yr Yep certainly agree, amazing aircraft! Although I left it behind after transitioning to FSX, I still remember it fondly! I will get it for FSX eventually, but first the B777! August 22, 201312 yr Commercial Member Hmm - seems like they had a problem to me. Very odd to forget ALL of them like that. Regarding the OP - yes, the MD-11 is much under-appreciated by the community. They are missing out for sure. I love it so much I bought it twice (first time was for FSX at release, second was last year to fly it in FS9). OK - so it maybe isn't as technically as advanced as the NGX in terms of the modelling and lighting - but who cares - at 30000+ ft you can't see them! The VC is sparse like the real thing. Textures need some updating, but that's all. The systems simulation is one of the best they ever did. Best regards, Robin. Not necessarily something wrong, just a week back on taxi in to Manchester from Doha the flight crew left the spoilers up (didnt retract until the hydraulics depressurized) strobes still going, taxi & landing still after I disembarked, just a case of the flight crew not running the after landing checklist, I see it every now and then. And sticking on topic, the MD11 is my favourite FS aircraft, would love to see all the new features from the NGX & 777 added to the MD11, but I guess chances are near to zero due to piracy and pretty much fickle wider FS audiance. I always used to greet crews after they'd been parked, where possible, to confirm all of the services they needed from what I heard on the radio. Whenever they forgot things, I'd give them a hard time about it (for the crews I knew, anyway). August 24, 201312 yr strobes still going, taxi & landing still after I disembarked, That happened to me twice when I was a ramper for MQ, first time it happened the crew realized real quick what I was trying to signal and they turned off the taxi light but the 2nd time I ran into 2 mega bone heads who had no idea why I kept them stopped, was about to grab my headsets and plug in but I guess they finally realized what was wrong and turned it off. Its not cool trying to marshal in a huge ball of light during the early morning hours. Alex Jevdic KORD/KHOT/KPWKA<380 love at first flight
