August 17, 201312 yr I have the excellent Ramzess (sp?) 777 for XPX/64. I am reading a review and see a pic of a wing view in it, although there bis no mention in the review how it was done, and I have looked both here and in the docs for the product and cannot find any reference to this. Is it possible to get a wing view in the 777, and if so, how do I do it? Thanks, Bruce. ASEL, Instrument. KBJC, Colorado.
August 17, 201312 yr I would "walk" to the cabin (SHIFT+9 or 3D Cockpit Mode, then move with the arrows and mouse) and look out of the window. Then you can save your view as a Quick Look shortcut. http://www.x-plane.com/v10-online-desktop-manual/#usingtheviews http://www.x-plane.com/v10-online-desktop-manual/#viewselection First, make sure your cockpit door in the 777 is not locked (there's a button on the pedestal panel). August 17, 201312 yr What would be a revolution is getting the Quickviews (which is an excellent tool) working with Track IR.
August 17, 201312 yr Commercial Member Maybe the spelling should be revisited in the title of this thread... One could think the topic has something to do with the hindquarters of a male sheep.
August 18, 201312 yr Author Thanks for the helpful info, MdMax. Much appreciated. Plinky- Sorry about the typo in the title, I would change it if I could (I think my edit window has expired). Thanks, Bruce. ASEL, Instrument. KBJC, Colorado.
August 18, 201312 yr Commercial Member Just an FYI, "Plinky" is actually Dan Klaue. Author of the Carenado flight models. Very good to see him here so he can potentially address issues people have with Carenado products for X-Plane.
August 18, 201312 yr Author Yes, thanks GoranM, always great to see developers in the forums- thanks Dan! I love your planes, and am loving XPX, as a RW pilot it has an element of reality on the flight modeling that I haven't seen in other sims (I'm very new to XP, in case that's not obvious ) ). Bruce. August 18, 201312 yr Yes, we're honored to have among us two of the best XP developers - GoranM and Dan (aka Pinky). I think this can only be positive to all of us XP users to have the chance to exchange opinions, and receive feedback from those who master the internals of the sim. Looking forward for many long and didactic posts here at AVSIM's X-Plane 10 forum :-) Flying gliders since 1980 Flightsimming since 1992 AMD Ryzen 5600x, 32GB RAM, GPU Nvidia RTX 3060 Ti 8 GB, 1 TB and 500 GB nvme2 SSD drives, HP 27" 60Hz LED monitor @ 1920x1080, T16000, Hotas from old X52 Pro, Saitek Combat Rudder Pro (2010 model)
