Having been there myself several times I can honestly say that looks incredibly realistic!

VFR France - aah magnifique!

Every now and then I splash out on one for my FS9.5 sim.

What I lose in the resolution I get back in the water!

 

Photo scenery is where FSX really shines, these screenshots demonstrate that brilliantly! Incredible clarity!

 

But FS9 is really not that far behind, is that the same scenery?

Yes, both are France VFR from the same vantage point.

You can see the water issue with HLJ's FSX version: the waves do not scale.

 

 

I much prefer the FS9 water at medium altitude.

There's probably a sweet spot where the FS9 lower resolution stops mattering too.

 

Of course at 100' the FSX scenery will look much better.
