Logitech Extreme 3d pro problem

Featured Replies

I'm having a bit of trouble recently with my Logitech Extreme 3d pro Joystick.

I Have the flaps mapped to buttons 5 & 3, and the Elevator trim settings on 4 & 6, while the D-pad controls camera views.

Recently, I have noticed that buttons 3 -> 6 seem to control rudder and/or views, and when pressed, as well as their mapped commands, rendering the Z-rotation useless. It is really annoying me, as it basically makes FSX unplayable.

Any ideas?

Did you buy some new software? Or did it occur with no changes?

same happened here for no reason. You just need to keep resetting them before you fly in control section and eventually fsx will leave them there.

That's the eternal problem of FSX and the way it handles controllers and resets to defaults. Best thing you can do is DELETE all controller assignments in FSX and configure all functions you wan't your controller to do in FSUIPC. You could even deactivate the controller in FSX alltogether and leave everything to FSUIPC. Note that you'll need the paid version of FSUIPC to do this, which is a must for people with complex controller setups, but often neglected by people who just use a single joystick. Your call.

This topic was solved in the main hardware forum.

I had no new software at all, it just decided to map to those buttons randomly (IIRC I hadn't changed anything)

I resolved it by removing the FSUIPC.ini file, and letting it re-generate

Hi Jarrad,

Could you tell me which is the FSUIPC.ini file. I've been looking for this and can't find it as I'm complete unsure which one it is.

My first thought was the config settings one but somebody claify. So I could do with trying this suggestion.

I've not had those problems above but sometimes it just won't turn when using left or right, and once landed it does the same.

Thanks

The fsuipc.ini file is located in the fsx/modules folder.
