Need MegaSceneryEarth 1 map for California

Featured Replies

Hello,

Those who were prudent enough to make a screenshot of MegaSceneryEarth 1 map for California, could you please share it here or send it to me? I bought 39 files for California alone, and I still like them more than the barren-look California 2. I need the map though to install parts adjacent to Nevada / Arizona only, and I've bought Nevada 2 already. MegaSceneryEarth (1) I understand is discontinued and therefore that map is not available on their site.

Thanks,

Dirk.

Easy!

Go to archive.org (wayback machine)

Plug in the MSE website and look for an archived version from an earlier date.

You can view the site as it appeared on the archived dates.

I just tried it and it worked fine for this purpose.

The WayBack Machine is a great tool :)

Wow! Good tip.  Man, what will they think of next....

Intel i9-12900KF, Asus Prime Z690-A MB, 64GB DDR5 6000 RAM, (3) SK hynix M.2 SSD (2TB ea.), 16TB Seagate HDD, Gigabyte GeForce 5080 RTX, Corsair iCUE H70i AIO Liquid Cooler, UHD/Blu-ray Player/Burner (still have lots of CDs, DVDs!)  Windows 10, (hold off for now on Win11),  EVGA 1300W PSU
Netgear 1Gbps modem & router, (3) 27" 1440 wrap-around displays
Full array of Bravo, Saitek and GoFlight hardware for the cockpit. Varjo and HP VR headsets for mixed reality.

Make sure first that your MSE2 California installed correctly.  Mine did not and I had to add two of the three areas (North, Central, and South) manually within FSX Scenery Library.  Huge difference once I got it working right. More description is in a message I posted in the following thread.  Page 2 toward the bottom.  Just saying make sure you are looking at MSE2 and not FSX default.  That could happen as a result of the installation even if you had MSE1 installed, so check.
