Kusta,

Please state the following:

1. Aircraft in use.

2. Departure airport.

3. Destination airport.

I will then send you a flight plan to try in VoxATC.

.IFly 737

2.Depature (FACT) Cape Town International

3.Destination ( FALE) King Shaka International or you can do to (FAPE) Port Elizabeth

It is best to have a saved flight with correct flight plan for each separate flight (close and end).

You must also load passengers using FSP for each flight separately.

If you are flying legs, which VoxATC cannot do, the you must treat each leg as a separate flight.

Thanks I figured this one out. After you park at the gate, disable voxtac after unloading fspax, save flight(semi-colon), create new flight plan and save, enable voxatc and it should work. (For anyone with this problem in the future)

3.Destination ( FALE) King Shaka International or you can do to (FAPE) Port Elizabeth

Load this FSX flight plan into FS Build and save it to both your FSX and iFly\737NG\navdata\fltplan: http://rapidshare.com/files/323472241/FACT-FALE.PLN

Do you have the latest Navdata for iFly737 ?

I not use VOXATC but this how its normally works:

The navdata-base in the FSX default planner is outdated. You must build your flightplan in some other planner with a navdata which must be the same as VOXATC use (in this case the Level D B767 as I understand it). Save this plan in the FSX default-folder if its there your FMC finds it, but do not modify or do any other things in the default planner, and also make sure to save it in the correct folder where VOXATC will look for it. Your plan must include a valid exit- and entrypoint for your SID and STAR, ie the first fix where you will enter an airway or a direct routing and the final fix from where you will start your approach (STAR). This fixes must be a the exit/entry points of a valid SID/STAR for the airports you going to fly from/to in the navdatabase you using. By the way, the route you show in the picture looks very strange and unrealistic. I doubt any airline would plan such a route, is that from the default FSX planner? The is a free webservice called Routefinder you can use to see if a better route shows up.

Johnny

Let me explain what I do.

1.Load up Fsbuild 2.4

2.Go to 'export to' and select iFly 737 and Fs2004/FSX

3.Set depature, Set destination ( in this example let's say FACT - FALE)

4.Autogenerate and Build

5. It tells me Created FS2004 File C:\Users\MyName\Documents\Flight Simualator Files\FACT-FALE.PLN

Created iFly 737NG File C:\Programe Files(x86)\Microsoft games\Microsoft FSX\iFly\737NG\Navdata\Fltplan\FACTFALE.FLTPLAN

6. I load up fsx

7.Go to Flight planner, Go straight to Load and then go to Flight Simaulator Files and Select FACT-FALE.PLN

8.Then Find route and the picture that I showed earlier comes up with some of points from FSbuild only showing and 80% of them not there, No entry SID point No exit, same as for STAR

Load this FSX flight plan into FS Build and save it to both your FSX and iFly\737NG\navdata\fltplan: http://rapidshare.com/files/323472241/FACT-FALE.PLN

Will try it now, I have the 1304 cycle for both iFly and LevelD loaded at the moment

Sorry quick question, now how do I open this file with Fsbuild or choose Fsbuild to open it? I get file error when I try to open it and it says 'Could not create tmp folder'

Sorry quick question, now how do I open this file with Fsbuild or choose Fsbuild to open it?

I think we should bypass FSBuild.

Put this FSX Flight plan in your FSX files folder: http://rapidshare.com/files/624115681/FACTFALE_737.pln

Put this iFly737 flight plan in your iFly/737NG/navdata/fltplan folder: http://rapidshare.com/files/1119338690/FACTFALE_737.fltplan

Then create a flight in FSX and save this flight with the FSX PLN file.

Be aware that your SID end point is TETAN and STAR starting point is GETOK. Charts will help.

By create flight, I understand it as I go to flightplanner, load up the FACTFALE_737.PLN and save, is that correct? Cause I saved the flightplan in C:\Documents\FlightSimulatorXFiles

I must be doing something wrong because when I click on FACTFALE_737 it doesn't load on the fsx flight plannner

Managed to load the flight on my FMC with TETAN and GETOK showing, problem now is for Voxatc to recognize my flight plan

Managed to load the flight on my FMC with TETAN and GETOK showing, problem now is for Voxatc to recognize my flight plan

Creating VoxATC flight:

1. Start FSX, select aircraft, select airport and gate.

2. At the gate, select FSX flight planner and load the PLN FACTFALE_737. Say no to move aircraft.

3. Save flight as FACT-FALE or something appropriate, and exit FSX.

4. To start your VoxATC flight, load the saved flight and enable VoxATC at gate.

Problem is when I select FACTFALE_737 PLN on Flightplanner, nothing loads...

Don't know if the problem is with Fsbuild because apparently it saves the flight plan to Flight Simulator and not Flight Simulator X, I had to create a folder C:\Documents\Flightsimulator, and all the flight plans I create in Fsbuild go there, it doesn't save them to Flight Simulator X

Post #19 by Kusta: There is a mistake in your procedure:

"8.Then Find route and the picture that I showed earlier comes up with some of points from FSbuild only showing and 80% of them not there, No entry SID point No exit, same as for STAR:"

If you tick "find route" FSX will build a new route and load it and not the one you created with FSBuild.

Ok yeah I think that might be the problem, I'll try create a flight on FSbuild now and see how it goes with some of Mhlarsen's steps

The flight plan FACTFALE_737 is not build with FS Build and do not open and save it with FS Build. Just put the file where the FSX flight plans are stored and load it from there.

FINALLY! Mhlarsen thank you so much for bearing with me and being so patient! It worked. And Agutz for giving me that crucial final piece to the puzzle.

But i did my own flight plan on Fsbuild and then I followed Mhlarsens steps of opening and saving flight plan etc and that important step of not opening 'Find route', then now when I enabled Voxatc they gave me a SID to follow, will still have to fly and see if I get a STAR, gonna do that later though!

This is nowhere in the manual!! And the manual is very vague on how to set it up!

Once again thank you all for your help!!

The problem how to start an IFR flight with Vox has come up several times on this forum (perhaps it should be pinned to the top). The procedure given by mhlarsen certainly works but it is not necessary to start FSX twice:

1. Create a flightplan with any application saving a .PLN plan in FSX format (eg FACTFALE_737.PLN).

2. Start FSX, select aircraft, select airport and gate. Do not start your flight yet!

3. Select FSX flight planner and load FACTFALE_737.PLN. Say no to move aircraft.

4. Save the flight as FACT-FALE or something appropriate (creating a FACT-FALE.FLT file).

5. Now start your flight, enable Vox and you should see the Vox window with the ATIS frequency (if the airport has ATIS).

BTW: I got it from the manual.
