When i choose my 777 from FS menu i get a skeleton airplane, also when am in external view i cant see the airplane just a skeleton.

 

any ideas

you should try adding the 'highmemfix'

 

Open your fsx.cfg and look for the [GRAPHICS] section.

add the following line:

 

HIGHMEMFIX=1

 

report back.

yeah thats due to some bright spark thinking 4096 textures are the way forward..when they where cleary a problem with the NGX too.

 

PMDG appear to be blind at this fact. ( meaning no options to have say, 2048, or 1024 sized paints) You have to open the paint you want in an editor and resize the textures so that they dont suck your Gcard dry of resources.

 

They tell us they have reached the limit of polygons and effect in the VC, adding a strain to our systems...then make massive oversized textures....where...is...the logic? :mellow:

 

Ps i didnt see a great deal of diffrence with highmemfix...

i have the graphics line already. i get skeletal both in selecting from FS menu and external view 

are you using ezdok?

 

you must run the ezdok configuration after you install a new plane (if you have it)

Can confirm I had the same problem, only with the wings - and adding the HIGHMEMFIX=1 actually worked

yes i have done that as well and its connected and active

for me i just see a skeleton view, i could see the seats as well :(

will reinstalling sp2 effect the others settings or airplanes already installed?

No clue.  I had the exact same problem with NGX.  But since someone knowledgeable adviced that FS and updates should be installed in the way I mentioned in the other thread, I never had the problem again.

 

So make a choice, but I would advice reinstalling.

hi i just reinstalled SP2 and its now working, it did not effect any of FSX setting or contents.
