Featured Replies

Hey,

I have set the option to resetteable sieren but nothing happand. I cant cancel any alert. I press the button in the yoke, the toga button and the master warning button. but nothing happend. All alerts still on. I alsow can't the alert from the crew allertnes Monitor set off.

Any idea?

Greetings

Lars Raddatz

I press the button in the yoke, the toga button and the master warning button.

Did you hit the yoke button or the Z key a second time after at least 1 second as passed? This is in the introduction manual.

Assign a key or yoke button to A/P Disengage in the CDU. Press the button twice with each press being at least 1.5 seconds apart.

Although mentioned in the manual, pressing Z twice didn't work for me. The first keypress would re-engage the AP, the second keypress would do nothing. The right clicks do work.

This is a mistake on my part in the manual, sorry. Z is bound only to the A/P switch on the MCP, which can turn the AP on, but not off.

Shift+Ctrl+Z is the keypress you need to use for this. That presses the A/P soft disconnect switch on the yoke.

You are right Ryan. I just remapped the yoke button from Z to ctrl+shift+z and it works as intended. It is a 5 sec operation.

I pulled the AP disengage bar (trying to stop an earlier unrelated alarm) and set the disengage alarm going. None of the above solutions have worked for me to stop the alarm (or any alarm for that matter). I've tried all of the following:

- Right clicking TO/GA clickspot twice (more than 2 seconds apart)

- Clicking the yoke disengage twice (same as above)

- CTRL SHIFT Z twice (same as above)

- Hitting Master Caution button on the glareshield.

- Setting Resettable Sirens to ON (and repeating the above)

The first alarm I set off on the runway as I started my takeoff spool of N1 to 55% whilst accidentally leaving the parking brake on. A red "PARKING BRAKE CONFIG" message came up and the alarm started. I couldnt work out how to stop this alarm (which sounds different to the AP disengage alarm) so I took off thinking I'll silence it in the air. In the air is when I hit AP disengage bar trying to stop the first alarm since nothing else would stop it.

Is it possible this first alarm that went off is stopping me from silencing the AP alarm? I basically have 2 separate alarms going off simultaneously and nothing I try will silence any of them.

Cheers,

Brett

Thanks! Works like a charm now.

Why are some people so rude, when fellow enthusiasts ask a question.

its alright shouting people down, it seems, but when those same rude people want to ask a question of their own, they demand respect?

A little more politeness and humility would be welcomed.
