Did you run voxatc indexer?

Yep I did. That was how I got the panel to install in the 777.

Looking into this further for some reason VOX seems to insist on believing that all my flight plans are VFR instead of IFR. Its clearly seeing the file, but for some reason its not reading it properly. The IFR button is checked off when I look at the default fsx window. When I try to open my saved flight plans with the vox flight plan extras utility it tells me its a vfr flight plan, although its clearly not.

Red259,

Could you try creating a flightplan with the FSX flightplanner and not FSC?

Red259,

I could try that. However, I have created flight plans with both FSC and route finder and converted them to flightplans with simroutes neither have worked. The flight plan does show up in fsx with the waypoints when I load it up.

Please report back.

I have used FSC for many years without problems.

Why do you convert your flightplans with Simroutes?

Why do you convert your flightplans with Simroutes?

Because the FSC all I have is just the trial version, so i'm unable to use that feature. With simroutes I can do it for free.

I tried creating a FP within fsx and it worked somewhat, however since I am using the 777 it acting kind of weird. For one it assigned me a sid that was not in my fmc. Then when I was on my final approach I had a fatal error on vox so I wasn't able to complete the flight using it.

Well, apart from the missing SID and Fatal Error, the fsx flightplan can be read by VoxATC.

So the flightplan you are creating with other applications are not readable by VoxATC.

You could send one of these flightplans to VoxATC support?

"The IFR button is checked off when I look at the default fsx window. When I try to open my saved flight plans with the vox flight plan extras utility it tells me its a vfr flight plan,."

Perhaps it ISN'T a IFR plan? I plan my IFR flights with FSBuild. Whever I load a planned flight in FSX's flightplanner I can see it's an IFR plan. No problems with Vox then.

Can you zip up one of your plans (FSX format) and post it here so we can have alook at it?

The SID is taken from a navdatabase in LVLD format. Have you purchased updated navdata from navigraph and installed into the default LVLD location?

My navdata is from like two cycles ago. The new 777 came out with the latest navdata. I didn't feel like spending more money. The thing is that I used to have that sid vox wanted me to fly in my fmc with the 737, so I do not know why I wouldn't still have it even with the plane having the newest cycle.

How do I do this? I made my plan a zip file, but do not know how to post it.

When you "reply to this topic" click "more reply options" in the lower right corner.

There is an "attach files" section where you can browse to your file and attach it

Yes, I tried that but it says I am not permitted to upload this kind of file. The file is a .pln and then I zipped it so the second file is .zip.

Same here: I'm not allowed to upload files! So let's try something else.

You said you have Aivlasoft EFB. Then please do this:

Create an IFR flightplan with Routefinder from inside EFB, save it in FSX and PMDG flavor in the appropriate places. Now do the usual "Start Vox" procedure. When you load the .PLN you should see that it is an IFR plan. If that is OK, save it, name it, start your flight and you should see the vox window with "tune to atis" message.

Although I don't use Routefinder for planning (I use FSBuild), I just checked it this way and Vox works fine.

-----------------

As to "My navdata is from like two cycles ago ... I didn't feel like spending more money".

The 777 installer installed the latest cycle valid for all PMDG products (1309). If you want to go back and if you still have the data for PMDG you downloaded from Navigraph (in a PMDG_13XX folder) you can install the old one (Tick the box "Backup installed cycle" so you will keep the 1309).
