New 777 sounds.

Recommended Posts

@Armen,

In another post you mentioned the fix to get the 777 sounds to work in set ups like 4.1 or 5.1, etc... was in the works. Will this be a standalone d/l or will it be rolled into SP1? I am very keen to get it. Many thanks.

Hi Eric,

We will release the cockpit 5.1 sounds as a standalone install in the next few days.

I am not sure how we will do it in the future for SP1 or newer products - we may add it to the installer as a selectable option or we may just make the 5.1 sounds available seperately as a standalone installer.

Sub works in 2.0 already - just ask my neighbours!!!   :lol:

I told my neighbor he should not have  bought a house so close to a flight simmer.

I even told my better half that if she has any complaints about the walls vibrating, to take it up with Armen.

Consequently, I found my clothes neatly laid out on the front lawn when I got home this evening. :lol:

Probably depends if it is a true surround sound or virtualised surround sound headphones.

But in any case I recommend the stock 777 Stereo sounds with regular stereo headphones.  Ive mentioned in another post that the surround sound is far inferior to the stereo sounds in FSX due to the lack of decent signal delay programming per surround channel - basically, the surround sound in FSX is bordering on mono no matter how many speakers you have !!!!!  I have to give Steve Inwood the credit - it was his suggestion to try stereo option and the results are spectacular.  Rest in peace mate.

Will try all 3 variants,

pro volumic stereo using working delays for my headphones, pro volumic stereo using working delays on a second soundcard for the rear channels (engines), and this upcomming 5.1 surround samples.

Iam very grateful giving sound such a high priority, as sound is very important for me. The support here is outstanding !

ps: i realy love the rw nose wheel "DUMB""DUMB""DUMB" sound effect, it add so much to the immersion.

That was too funny. I love a devoted simmer!
