First FSX Global Airport Pack released...here's the direct link...

I'm going to test them tonight in default scenery and combined with Aerosoft U.S. city L.A. For the US city you manually have to disable three double airport entries in the city's coverage - KVNY, KEMT, and KAVX.

BTW, besides KVNY, L35 has another pretty long runway (5.800 ft) with a published RNAV approach.

Hi Olli, was interested in knowing if they work in default scenery? Thanks

I did as I wrote in my post above: Had 4 of the 7 airports enabled in FSX default scenery and 3 switched off (manually) as they are included in the U.S. City as well.

I particularly checked the long runway field L35 in default scenery and found it working nicely without FTXG. No real hit in fps and/or VAS. Only thing I noticed is one particular building 'repeated' all over the field. But then, it's freeware, geared at FTXG owners, but compatible with default scenery, as well. Nicely 'cluttered' and including PeopleFlow2.

Definitely improves default airfields, and in FTX Central the 'default' switch is still there (different from what FTXG owners experience).

Thanks for letting us know!

Good to see that they're doing Global airports.  I have Megascenery Socal and CitiesX LA so I'll pass on these but very much looking forward to screenies :).

Do you need to have FTXGlobal or any of there regions installed to try out these airports? Has anyone been succesful in installing these without having any other ORBX products installed?
