September 22, 201312 yr Author ok. then.. follow up question' what do I change if I want to lesson or eliminate the shimmers, I see it on water the most. running 1920x1080x32 on a 40" lcd tv. Ciao!
September 22, 201312 yr Think we need to know what NI settings you are using. The AVSIM Software and Hardware guide has settings and I like the settings at the following link - http://www.simforums.com/forums/drivers-nv-inspector-fsxcfg-complete-guide_topic36586.html. I use DX10 Preview but use the guide at the link I provided to set up my NI settings. In the fsx settings I turned off AA and set filtering to Bilinear as recommend at the link. I have no tweaks installed but I do have my LOD_Radius set to 6.5 and Texture_Max_Load set to 2048. Those NI settings should eliminate all traces of shimmering as I don't see them. Be careful with tweaks as they could create or enhance a problem, such as shimmering or the blurries. Best regards, Jim Jim Young | AVSIM Online! - Simming's Premier Resource! September 23, 201312 yr You need to apply the "over ride application" in the IN proffile for one. Jim, hey..politely... Why recommending Biliniar? Eek! blurry blurry ------<<<<<-----<<<--- Lowest Quality------ Best Quality----->>>>---->>> ------------- Biliniar ---- Triliniar ----- 4x Anisotropic ------ 16x Anisotropic Shimmering? September 23, 201312 yr All you need to know here: http://www.simforums.com/forums/drivers-nv-inspector-fsxcfg-complete-guide_topic36586.html Since you turn off AA in FSX it will be easy to see if it is working since you turn on AA in NVIDIA Inspector.
