Time Compression/Auto Cruise

Featured Replies

Hey PMDG,

Amazing job on the 777!

I couldn't find if this has been asked already, but are there plans to add the Auto Cruise feature to the 747, MD11 and maybe the 737 (not that the 737 really needs time compression)? Thanks.

747(the old one) and MD11 are not having anything further done to them by PMDG for any point in time in the future. They are done, based on technology that PMDG doesn't use anymore.

The 737 NGX^ has a Service Pack (SP2) coming out soon*.

*Soon refers to "PMDG soon" which may be up to 3 years away from "Now".

^The 737NG product for FS2002 and FS2004 are not the NGX and will never be added to ever again.

Hi all,

I was just about to ask the very same question!

Happy Flying,

Dave Phillips.

MD11 development is done; no upcoming changes there.

B744X will probably get it in v2.0.

NGX SP2 has been requested (you can save a couple of hours with just 4x!!!) but I haven't heard of PMDG's decision yet.

What happened to AVSIM

  • 7 months later...

I think this feature is fantastic! To have it on the 737 would make mid haul more enjoyable for sure!

I never use time compression no matter how long the flight.

Seriously, just crack open another beer and chill

Gents-

The cruise compression will be included in the PMDG 747-400v2.0, and it is planned to add it to the NGX in an update cycle...

It is part of the core functionality of our product line now- so I suspect you will see it in all the modern airliners.

It will NOT be added to our legacy products (MD-11/747-400X/JS4100 etc)

It is possible it will be added to the DC-6 and others in the classics line when they are released... (these are in a different technology base- so for now I am just saying possibly...)
