Presenting a historic EL AL Boeing 747-200 route from LLBG Ben Gurion airport located near the suburb of Lod in the southeast outskirts of Tel Aviv 12 miles from center of the city to LGAV Athens International Airport "Eleftherios Venizelos" located about 12 miles to the east of central Athens

 

Very early morning departure can be exciting and fun with all those bright lights!!

 

 

Entering into runway 30 for take off

 

 

 

On climb to FL360 heading to PURLA first

 

 

Intercepting PURLA and turning right to head to SUVAS and KAROL

 

 

Still climbing to FL360 while intercepting KAROL to start cruising along UL995 toward Greece

 

 

Climbing climbing to FL360 while enjoying gorgeous sunrise

 

 

 

Dig that sunrise!!!

 

 

 

 

 

Now cruising at FL360 along UL995 toward Greece

 

 

Cruising across Mediterranean Sea

 

 

Daylight is getting brighter

 

 

Water of Mediterranean Sea is now visible during daylight

 

 

Approaching end of UL995 intercepting VARIX which signaled time to descent with nice wing view of some Greek island

 

 

Maneuvering around above Greek islands to get ready for approach to runway 03R

 

 

On final runway approach to runway 03Rwith background view of Mount Hymettus
