Not completely un-installed

I un-installed then re-installed FSX. I thought I had cleaned everything up prior to the re-install , but apparently not. When I go to start FSX I get a total of 26 pop ups that I have to click on before FSX can start . A typical pop up looks like this :

Scenry.CFG File Error Local Scenry Directory

( ORBX \FTX _ NA \ FTX _ AA 7WA3 \ Scenry )

in scenry area .131 not found.

Click ok to continue.

These are all scenry related , they number from 116 to 141.  After all are clicked , then FSX starts up. How do I eliminate these pop ups, where do I look ? Thanks

C:\ProgramData\Microsoft\FSX is where you'll find the offending scenery.cfg as well as the scenery cache (which you should delete).

You have to delete the scenery out of the scenery library.

Why did you hit the Post button 3 times and now we have the very same post listed 3 times in less than a minute?

You have to fly to C:\ProgramData\Microsoft\FSX to check your current scenery.cfg. Make a backup, then you can clear the entries which look outdated.

Seems like your new installation doesn't feature Orbx folders so FSX doesn't find them when checking the scenery.cfg. By this, clear all Orbx entries (they will come back when reinstalling) and proceed.

Oops, I saw you've triple posted.  :O  Well, maybe it still helps. ^_^

The forum lags quite a bit on the weekend and occasionally does not give any indication that the post was submitted. So people end up pressing the post button more than once.

Fixed.  Merged topics.  Remember to click once.
