October 9, 201312 yr As the title suggests is it or would it ever be possible for lighting at airports to light up aircraft on the apron, stands etc? It's a shame when you look from an external view and see dark shapes of wings and fuselages.
October 9, 201312 yr is it or would it ever be possible for lighting at airports to light up aircraft on the apron, stands etc? I don't think I have ever seen that in FSX. Kenny Lee"Keep climbing"
October 9, 201312 yr Author Me neither hence the question. I'd love to see it done. Remember, they said weather radar could never be done. Now the Active Sky guys have gone and done it.
October 10, 201312 yr Remember, they said weather radar could never be done. Now the Active Sky guys have gone and done it. AS guys did not make a WXR in FlightSim, they essentially made a weather system outside the sim that injects both sim and the radar. As such, I am not sure this would be doable without modifying the actual rendering system. Maybe. --Peter Fabian
October 10, 201312 yr Commercial Member Now the Active Sky guys have gone and done it. Not having seen any actual proof of it, I think people should be careful of placing a product that hasn't even been released yet on the pedestal that everyone seems to have already placed it on. I'm hoping it truly is everything that they claim, but I'm cautiously optimistic. I'm particularly so in the provision of the necessary data to have an actual weather radar function. This is a completely different concept from the Doppler radar you see on TV/online. Kyle Rodgers
