Nose Wheel brake Sounds?

Featured Replies

I'm not 2nd guessing anything here - just wanted to know if there "should" be a sound when applying Toe Braking to the PMDG 777?

Thanks!

Commercial aircraft don't have nose wheel brakes, only main gear. No you would never hear the brakes from inside the cockpit. The only aircraft that is very noisy in the cabin during braking is the A330, however it is not the sound of the brakes but a clunking noise from the hydraulic system. Have never heard it on a 777 from the cabin.

Am curious as to what your question is about? Why would PMDG simulate brake sounds from inside the flight deck on such a huge machine?

The 777 Brakes are only apparent when sitting over the belly region (Even then they are very subtle). The only aircraft I have heard LOUD brakes on is a 737-400.

The brakes on the A330 are really loud as well. They make a really distinctive 'clang' when applied.
