October 15, 201312 yr Commercial Member ...from a pilots point of view the blog is a bit of an anticlimax. On reflection, can you imagine the massive step forward this tool will offer developers and the possibilities it will open up. The mission / scenario creator excites me quite a bit, but only from a military aviation point of view. I'd doubt I'd ever use it flying GA. Jim Stewart Milviz Person.

October 15, 201312 yr Actually, this fills a big need on the training side for P3d. One only has to take a look at the VRS message board to see how difficult it is to construct realistic multiplayer missions with FSX and the existing 3rd party add-ons. There is even a piece of freeware in development for TacPack called "FSX @ War": http://www.aeromaths.net/fsxwar/index.php?option=com_kunena&view=listcat&Itemid=92〈=fr (The original website is in French, but I posted it anyway, because I'm not sure how much of the VRS forum info on FSX @ War is reachable without having a VRS account. The thread regarding FSX@War is at: http://forums.vrsimulations.com/forums/phpBB3/viewtopic.php?f=49&t=6519 There are numerous other posts, by VRS TacPack users where they have managed to create combat missions with targeted destruction of aircraft, vehicles, naval vessels and land structures, by using Instant Mission Maker, FS Recorder for FSX, Living World for FSX and a few other 3rd party add-ons, but all have some type of drawback, so it's nice to see what LM is doing in this area of development. Unfortunately, for almost all users, VRS Tacpack won't be an option in P3d 2.0, at least for now.
