atiumdag.dll error

Featured Replies

Hello All,

I have just re-installed my operating system (windows 7 Pro 64 bit) due to fsx not working too good.

I have hardly put any other programs on the system as yet but FSX stops working when I go to maps.

the error under "Fault Mode Name" is always atiumdag.dll

The latest one was a follows:

==================================================
Process File      : fsx.exe

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Your crash was caused by your ATI video card drivers.  Up in the CTD Forum there's an excellent post about the proper installation of ATI Drivers.

Best regards,

Jim

I bet you downloaded the latest ATI driver, which is 13.9. This version has some issues with FSX. Uninstall it. Find and install 13.4 instead.

Yep, I couldn't get fsx to run with 13.9 either & went back to 13.4.

Hi,

I had this issue and became crazy 2 nights be searching and it was caused by ATI Catalyst 13.9 version and Directx 9 mode Under FSX. (Last Drivers from Microsoft Windows Update is also causing this problem so have to uncheck this one If your computer ask to update this drivers)

If you try this version using DirectX 10 preview mode, there is no problem, If you revert your drivers back to 13.4 it will work.

Hope ATI is aware of that and will fix the issue.

I have tried the 13.11 beta version and the problem is still there.

Regards,
