October 24, 201312 yr Author I received mine today and initial rwactions are quite positive. I was surprised about the size of the product: camera and TrackClipPro are quite small. I was also surprised about the TrackClipPro being much more solid than expected. Not sure if they fixed it lately or whether it's much more fragile than it seems. It all worked out of the box (as long as you install the software prior to plugging the device in!). It was great no longer having to touch the mouse or keys to pan around and ######. Initally I wasn't really happy with the precision and sensitivity though. But then again I have only touched the two sliders, but I couldn't get it to my liking at all. It was very hard to keep the view focussed. I googled a bit and turns out this is normal. I will just have to try a few profiles from the net and I'll report back tomorrow. October 24, 201312 yr Received mine yesterday too and had a very quick play around, so haven't tweaked any settings yet. Responsiveness and precision is far better than Facetracknoir so far as I can see. I was also only using the hat clip, not the pro clip. I purchased mine online and unfortunately the track clip was broken on arrival, but it was described as in "pristine" condition when I purchased it. The package wasn't even padded in anyway coming through the mail so I don't know if it broke in transit or was already like that, so I have to go back to the seller on that one. Luckily I paid through Paypal so I can try to get atleast a partial refund. Even with the hat clip though, this is worlds apart from facetracknoir. October 25, 201312 yr Being an old retired guy, a bit on the cheap side, and a great admirer of McGuyver, I went the FreeTrack route and built a three-point LED rig for my headset and used an old Microsoft webcam. Its so inexpensive to build, too, that I was able to go through several iterations till I got it down to as light and as solid as possible. Headtracking really does add a whole new dimension to simming. Freetrack does seem a tad overresponsive, but Im not sure if that's a valid criticism since I havent played around much with the settings or tried TrackIR. TrackNOIR was just too sensitive to ambient light to be of use. It is great though to be able to look around without touching a button. Lately, though, I find myself using it just with general aviation aircraft, particularly the Maule (which is great for low and slow and Megasceneryearth V2 scenery) and the ASA 172. However, when Im in the Feel There ERJ, it seems there's just to much going on to have my head bobbing all over the place. I prefer not to use it and to put most of my panels on a secondary screen. It allows me to focus on checklists, and besides, there's not much sightseeing to do out the windows. Just my two-cents worth.
October 25, 201312 yr The flimsy build quality is solved with a little tape, its not pretty but effective, i have several strips of tape around my headset and the track ir pro and to keep Track ir leads and headset leads together, just tape it when it arrives and then forget about it, and i also tape the track ir sensor thingy to the monitor too because of the Cat knocking it over, or even strong winds when the window is open. Finally i have a tin that i use as a headset rest instead of it just lying on the desk. This may seem like a lot of fiddling around for an expensive addon but Track ir is so good that you shouldn't be put off with all the "flimsy" comments, i'm sure 90%+ of track ir owners feel no track ir means no FSX.
October 25, 201312 yr Arjan, there are various sources around the internet where you can get good profiles to use with FSX. Since about a year, I use this one provided by AOA (used by Nick in the 737NGX videos). www.naturalpoint.com (TrackIR company) also has an extensive library of profiles. Regards, Frank van der Werff
October 25, 201312 yr Guys help me out please. I am using TrackIR5 with triple monitor setup. I have probably 120 degree peripheral vision already. What I need is some horizontal null angle, say 15-20 degree from center. I don't want it response every small horizontal head movement I do. Now, how can I do that?

October 27, 201312 yr I use a profile called "AndyDigital" which I presume was made by the Avsim member of the same name, and I'm quite pleased with it. I would recommend that profile if you can find it.
