October 28, 201312 yr Just as many others, these will be released for X-Plane 10!!! The An-24 by Felis ( one of my preferred X-plane add-on designers ) will receive an update and include a 3D version of the KLN 90 already integrated in the 3D cockpit. The other software in the video bellow is a shared cockpit plugin. There are already examples with the Airbus NEO. The future is Soooo Bright :-) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ajScXFoEUr8 And, BTW, the An-24 has an english cockpit version too!!! You do not really have to learn Russian,,, but it's a nice language, specially when spoken by nice Eastern European women :-) Flying gliders since 1980 Flightsimming since 1992 AMD Ryzen 5600x, 32GB RAM, GPU Nvidia RTX 3060 Ti 8 GB, 1 TB and 500 GB nvme2 SSD drives, HP 27" 60Hz LED monitor @ 1920x1080, T16000, Hotas from old X52 Pro, Saitek Combat Rudder Pro (2010 model)
October 28, 201312 yr I had been eyeballing the AN-24 and his Yak-40 since started using XP but passed on them because of the large number "Cartoonware" I had seen solicited elsewhere. (Cartoonware is a term I've heard to describe the large amount freeware and older payware that is no longer viable and looks like it came from the early 2000's) After reading a couple of reviews as on both the Yak and AN-24 near as I could tell none of his work fell into that category but was developed prior to XP10 and always had a lurking feeling I'd end regretting it or it would feel dated to the point I wouldn't use it much. An update to XP10 standards would get me interested again. RE Thomason Jr.
October 28, 201312 yr Author But the An-24 is already X-Plane 10 based and 64 bit ready! Flying gliders since 1980 Flightsimming since 1992 AMD Ryzen 5600x, 32GB RAM, GPU Nvidia RTX 3060 Ti 8 GB, 1 TB and 500 GB nvme2 SSD drives, HP 27" 60Hz LED monitor @ 1920x1080, T16000, Hotas from old X52 Pro, Saitek Combat Rudder Pro (2010 model)
October 28, 201312 yr But the An-24 is already X-Plane 10 based and 64 bit ready! Didn't know that, anyplace to get it other than the .Org? RE Thomason Jr.
October 28, 201312 yr Author I don't think so :-/ I didn't get it yet. Flying gliders since 1980 Flightsimming since 1992 AMD Ryzen 5600x, 32GB RAM, GPU Nvidia RTX 3060 Ti 8 GB, 1 TB and 500 GB nvme2 SSD drives, HP 27" 60Hz LED monitor @ 1920x1080, T16000, Hotas from old X52 Pro, Saitek Combat Rudder Pro (2010 model)
October 28, 201312 yr Well that's too bad; I'll have to pass unless it becomes available direct or from somewhere else. RE Thomason Jr.
October 29, 201312 yr Author I'll ask the author if there is an alternative. ;-) Flying gliders since 1980 Flightsimming since 1992 AMD Ryzen 5600x, 32GB RAM, GPU Nvidia RTX 3060 Ti 8 GB, 1 TB and 500 GB nvme2 SSD drives, HP 27" 60Hz LED monitor @ 1920x1080, T16000, Hotas from old X52 Pro, Saitek Combat Rudder Pro (2010 model)
October 29, 201312 yr I didn't get it yet. Wait... You think it's a perfect add-on but you don't even have it ? How does that work ?
October 29, 201312 yr Author Well, simple Gregory :-) I have a gread simmer chap who shares his simming experiences with me. Plus, he has a fashion for Russian aircraft of all times, and recently even offered me the pre-release of the upcoming IL2 Battle of Stalingrad... At his PC I can find in excess of 600 games, with almost all flightsims you can name :-) Of course he showed me, and I had the chance to try, the remarkable An-24, on a previous ( xp9 ) version. Also, I used the IL-14 freeware from the same author for quite a while, and now even in 64 bit. So, I guess I know what I am talking about ;-) Buying it is a different matter - I have spent some money ( I shouldn't ) in my FSX re-visit over the last 2 months or so... I should have known better I really have to concentrate in what offers me a better prespective for the future :-/ Flying gliders since 1980 Flightsimming since 1992 AMD Ryzen 5600x, 32GB RAM, GPU Nvidia RTX 3060 Ti 8 GB, 1 TB and 500 GB nvme2 SSD drives, HP 27" 60Hz LED monitor @ 1920x1080, T16000, Hotas from old X52 Pro, Saitek Combat Rudder Pro (2010 model)
October 29, 201312 yr I've got the Saab 340A, Rollon's J32 and CRJ200, FlyJSim B727 and Q400. BUT still prefer the Felis AN24 as my favourite aircraft in XP10. It's nothing short of fantastic. Torfi
